Biography Jorge Suàrez

 

Suàrez was born in Cali Colombia; A city which is recognized as the Mecca of the Salsa. He is a dance teacher and choreographer. Jorge studied Pedagogy, Social work and Latin American Folklore in Colombia.

 

Later on he moved to London where he took lessons in Afro-Brazilian dance, Samba and Lambada. After teaching and performing in London, Jorge went to Amsterdam; where he studied jazz at the Vladimir dance studios and at Barry Stevens dance studios.

 

He has been teaching and performing in several countries like: England, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Norway, Turkey and in Holland where he has been working for fourteen years now. He has also performed for several television programs.

Jorge Suàrez is regarded as one of the best dancers & teachers in Holland, he has been teaching and performing for twenty-four years. He is still improving his teaching skills by using new dance styles and moves and by innovating and creating new dance patrons.

 

Jorge's style is the perfect combination of Salsa, Rumba Guaganco and Mambo with a final touch of jazz. He is leading one of the biggest dance schools in the Netherlands; Swing Latino. His lessons are structured as follows:

 

 

Warming up – Footwork – Partnering – Improvisation - Cooling down.
